Planning on Location!

Location:

We are planning to shoot the majority of the film in a woodsy and dark setting. Here we will have our establishing shot, and characters introduced. Allowing for our storyline to be understood by the audience and flow better. Later, the scenes will be shot in our main character's room. Here it will help wrap up the story and give the audience an ending they can understand. 

Participants: 

Three members of our group are going to be included in the film. Kai is going to be our director and filming. Willow is going to play the main character of the stalker. While Lucy will play the secondary character of the girl being stalked. Our last remaining member will focusing on needed background characters and editing.

Schedule:

3/7/22: Our group established props, costumes, makeup, and location

3/10/22: Our group will have started filming our production 

3/14/22: Our group will have shot the first 10 slides of the film

3/17/22: Our group will have shot 10 slides of the film

3/28/22: Our group will have shot the last 10 slides of the film

3/31/22: Our group will have finished editing and final touches 

Health: 
Due to Covid-19, we all will wear masks for the duration of 
filming. Only the characters being filmed will take off there masks. Regarding the location, it is near one of the members houses and has a safe history. If one of our members were to be get sick, we will continue filming the scenes they are not in until they feel better. 

Backup Plan: 
If our woodsy and dark does not work out, we will go to a park area. It will allow the story to still make sense. If we can not film in our main character’s room, we switch to another one of our group member's houses. If a member is absent or unavailable, we will either film the scenes they are not in or begin the editing process.

The Final Project

  After about a month of filming, re-filming, and editing, the film is finally complete. I am very relieved. Actually, I am even joyous that this film project is finished. I loved the whole process of making an opening sequence. The editing process was difficult and frustrating but I feel I am getting better at it. My favorite part of the project was the initial planning, storyboarding, and actual filming.    During the planning stage, I understood what I had to do and how to complete it.    The creative aspect of these parts of the project seemed to come easy to me, which made it enjoyable. My least favorite was the editing tasks. This was probably because it was new to me and a challenging learning experience. I felt dependent on different Youtube instructions and had to keep watching different videos to learn. The YouTube posts I found on editing skills were definitely helpful and taught me a lot. A Much Needed Break

 After about a month of filming, re-filming, and editing, the project is almost complete. Although this is supposed a follow-up blog on the process my group has been making. We all took our FSA writing this week. I ended up taking mine today, and I am burnt out. In our school, every Thursday of the first week of the month we are provided a Professional Study Day (PSD). In order to maintain my working skills in all seven of my classes. I use days like this to decompress and destress! I made sure all my work had been completed the day before such as Deltamath, previous blogs, etc, so my day could be cleared. After taking my 2 hour FSA writing test, the school day was almost over. I walked to 4th period with my friend and was only in there for about 30 minutes. Once the bell rang I walked with my friend to the car loop. Riding with my mom all the way back home.
