Location: We are planning to shoot the majority of the film in a woodsy and dark setting. Here we will have our establishing shot, and characters introduced. Allowing for our storyline to be understood by the audience and flow better. Later, the scenes will be shot in our main character's room. Here it will help wrap up the story and give the audience an ending they can understand.  Participants:  Three members of our group are going to be included in the film. Kai is going to be our director and filming. Willow is going to play the main character of the stalker. While Lucy will play the secondary character of the girl being stalked. Our last remaining member will focusing on needed background characters and editing. Font: We will be using either a comic book style font such as MV Boli or Sitka Test which allows for a clean look example:  Contrast: Color- White or black Size- sizing depends on the scene and what fits Purpose- what is important for the audience to read? Which ones?     Four titles are shown back to back, transitioning to one another by breaking into puzzles pieces then rebuilding themselves. These three titles are the entertainment company "polygram." Next to being  "Polygram Filmed Entertainment Presents" to "a Propaganda Film Production." Ending with the show's title name "The game." What connations do the images carry out?      The series of old, flashback, malfunctioning images give us a brief look into a family's history. Showing all of the private moments and family gatherings. A piano plays throughout the series of images, adding an uneasiness. What is supposed to be a nostalgic look into a family's past is tainted with an eerie and strange tone. Ultimately giving it a peculiar, negative connotation.   How many titles are displayed during the opening sequences of the film? Which ones? When watching the opening for Splice the placement of the titles was the more surprising thing. The beginning is shown and the audience is taken to the part of the cell but before the production team "a Copperheart Entertainment/Gaumont production" was shown. Then titles begin, showing the film director than the actors back to back. While we move through the body more names are shown from departments like editing, casting, visual effects, and creations. What conations do the images carry out? The scene is set inside a creature created by combining two different creatures' DNAs, our background is that creature. We are surrounded by cells and our body's natural liquids. This makes you feel grossed out so much you want to keep watching. The audience just wants to see how this thing came to be. The opening sequence starts with the editing team showcasing the main actors with little white dots all around the background. It then shows the film director in the words of "a Rodrigo Cortex FIlm". The title of the film is then shown and then the cast list continued. After all the actors are named, the titles of the production team are recognized. People like the costume designer, editor, special effects, and production are named. 2. What connations do the images carry out? (how do they make you feel?" The film opens with a black background with almost flashing lights as the main characters are named. Images of old polaroids of different bodies, skulls, and many pictures and statues of Jesus. It starts off by presenting the production team, which happens to be "A verse entertainment" in association with "The Safran company" and "dark trick Films". It then proceeds to show the main character's actor and all the components of the production team. This happens to be people such as the editing, sound, makeup, and visual effects professions. The names were listed in a way to represent roots in the soil further showcasing the theme of being buried.   2. What connotations do the images carry?   The first website I decided to research was  www.artofthetitle.com . At first, I was researching for a website that would have examples of opening sequences to help give an idea as to what I am supposed to do. While searching for credible websites I came across  www.artofthetitle.com . They provide several opening sequence examples that would fit well for various genres.  Not only that they provide lists of graphic designers and studios as to where these opening sequences were used. With this large arrangement of opening sequences, this website has the pleasure of proving title design sequences for Emmy nominated films like " The Queens Gambit". They also provide news to information in the film industry and stylistic changes that have been made. The large sum of the title design sequences allows this website to be a great example of what a proper opening sequence should look like.   The third movie researched was "Lucy". This can be viewed on Prime video. The progression from ignorance and prediction about human life to conscious modern growth is depicted cinematically with the use of camera angles and movements. The film depicts the symbolism of human evolution in the scene where Lucy is kidnapped. The camera gets an extremely close image of Lucy after she is kidnapped by a bunch of drug traffickers to illustrate the intimidation she faces through her crying eyes. After a few seconds, the camera captures a low shot of one of the drug-peddlers, demonstrating his authority over Lucy. In a fit of rage, he kicks her in the stomach so hard that the CPH4 packets begin to leak into her body. Images from within her body and outside transition were exhibited simultaneously to track the physiologic response to this dose of CPH4. The second movie researched was Bird Box. This movie can be watched on Netflix. The camera angles and movements in thriller movies seem to be similar so we highlighted the important ones that added the thriller to the movie. One of the directors mentions that her favorite shot to use throughout the film was close-ups. She states that she wants viewers to “understand what’s going on in those eyes and cultivate it.” An important scene in the movie is the speech to the children, where an extreme close-up that ultimately ends up in a behind-the-shoulder shot is used. During the speech, viewers are confused as to why Sandra is so paranoid and as the close-up of her turns into a behind-the-shoulder shot we see that she is talking to children which intrigues the viewers even more. Tracking shots are predominantly used because we are watching the actors navigate the town and trying to escape simultaneously. The first movie research was The Shallows and it was watched on Hulu  In regards to the varying camera angles and camera movements. The movie starts with an establishing shot at the beach, making the main character look insignificant to the huge ocean in front of her. For multiple scenes, a birds-eye view is used to show the main character, the shark, and her unfavorable surroundings. After the birds-eye view, we are given a close-up of the main character, and what she is planning on doing. Many low angles are used when the main character is in the water, giving the audience a POV shot of the shark below her. Tracking shots are commonly occurring when the main character is surfing, suspensefully leading up to the moments before the shark attacks her. Throughout the film, the main character is the center of a pan shot, to show what her emotions and options are for getting away from the shark.      While researching various blogs informative details of each genre were discovered. We learned thrillers are often confused with horror main goal is to capture the gaze of the audience. To keep them interested and wanting more the climax is usually the main confrontation. It is most useless closeups and high or low angle shots to show the director's representation. Its use of pacing in thriller films is essential since it can drastically change the mood of a scene. The genre romance can be summarized as a journey following two characters through their lives and with each other. Most have a very happy ending, leaving the characters together and meeting their goal but that isn’t always the case. Romance films, mainly use color contrasting. Color contrasting can be set by sunsets or the use of candles bring an affectionate atmosphere to the film. When researching the genre of comedy, the challenge set for itself.   Thriller is a genre that focuses on catching the audience's attention by inflicting suspense or anticipation. A commonly confused with the genre horror, the thriller genre is drastically different. While Horror focuses on scaring the audience and prioritizes the main confrontation as the climax thriller does otherwise. In the Thriller Genre, its main goal is to leave tension and leave the audience on edge. There are many camera angles used in the thriller genre. For example, the most common filming angles are closeups or extreme closeups, low and high angle shots, canted angle shots, wide shots, and more. What is en scene is used can drastically change a film. In thrillers typically low-level lighting, props, and little to no makeup are essential. This is to make the film more believable for the audience. To pair with believability and to add emotion when editing thriller films pacing is key. Knowing the right moment to use fast or slow pacing can change the feel of a scene. Rece

  When researching a widely used genre with many different interpretations it can be hard. Comedies are light-hearted dramas, crafted to amuse, entertain the audience, and provoke enjoyment. The comedy genre humorously exaggerates the situation, the language, action, and characters. The comedy itself has a list of more than a million movies, and then you would have to indicate which ones mix genres. Many movies like Scary movie have aspects of horror while being comedy movies based on a definition standpoint. This is something we want to stay away from when creating our film. Numerous camera angles are used to produce this type of film, most commonly the wide and close shot. The tactic of using wide angles allows that determines your scene's location.   When researching a movie genre there are many things to take note of. A romance film can be defined as a romantic love story that focuses on the affectionate romantic involvement of the main characters and the journey that their love takes through dating, courtship, or marriage. Looking from a Romance film perspective, we can see how the camera angles and lighting would differ from other genres. Famous directors when shooting this type of film would prioritize the main love interest over another side character in a sense. Common camera angles used are extreme long shots, to describe what is going to happen next, and various amounts of tracking shots. They are many medium-long shots to zoom in on the love interest to portray beauty and allow you to fall in love with the character as well. The use of medium shots generally shows the character from the waist to the top of the head. It enables the viewer to see facial expressions in combination with body language and to show emotion. A girl is the one of few to survive the zombie apocalypse. She runs into another non-infected human and they have to get through together. Our first pitch is unique from the commonly chosen ideas. It would helped in showing off creativity and originality. While also providing a well thought out and evolved finished project. Although the mis-en-scene would be difficult to accomplish for any of the scenes. Zombie make-up and attire would have to research, bought and learned. Plus the fact that none of us leave in an area that would suit this project whether that be a woods or generally dark area. It emphasis the idea that this girl is one of the few, which would force us to need back up actors to play the zombies. Not only would we have to find multiple actors for only a few scenes, we would have to work around their schedule and pay extra supplies for there make-up and costume.
