My editing partner and I watched the project video together one final time after taking a break so we could have a fresh perspective. We noticed that the speed of some clips was a little too fast for the storyline. We split up the clips between us so we could each work on a better flow. Our goal was to determine which clip's needed better pacing. My batch of clips was from the beginning of the project. Slowing down the beginning would change the whole pace of the project, which doesn't match the storyline. I rewatched my scenes together several times before it became obvious which ones would help the project flow better if they were a touch slower. I experimented with the timing in a few different ways to see which way would actually help the flow. I think I tried too many options and variations of the timing on the clips because I completely messed up the commercial from the version I started with. My editing was making things worse.    Our group finally finished up our filming and production. We are now ready to start the editing process. It was easy to know who the main editor was going to be... Me! This was our first time working together and none of us had been the official "editor" of our previous groups. Lucky for me, I made sure to pay attention to previous editing processes just in case I was in a situation like this one. I knew how Imovie worked, the transitions, and the clips getting cut. All the basic conventions of editing! One thing that my partners had improved on from past projects was taking footage. We didn’t have to reshoot or retake any shots in our sequence. We were all proud of this accomplishment. Both the formatting and actual shot complimented each other. It also fit perfectly in the video and music. Although some scenes had to be sped up slightly.   Last week, my group did the beginning 10 scenes of our storyboard. We felt with how they came out and were confident about the shots. Today we began shooting the middle section of our storyboard. This was completely different from our last shoot! As I noted in the last blog, we ended up changing a lot of things that altered the rest of the shots. Our filming was starting to focus less on character introductions, and more on plot movement. This was convenient for our scenes since we didn't have to do any modifications, but it was difficult to edit our script to adapt. This middle part of the script was lacking in many areas and needed an overall redo. This raised the tensions in our group a lot. We all split up the planning process amongst ourselves. I did the schedule, Kai did the storyboard, Lucy did the script, and Willow did the title sequence. Lucy's failure to complete her part made the whole group upset and put us in an aggravated and passive-aggressive mood. This...

Today was the day production finally started! After all of the planning, storyboarding, and brainstorming; today was the day the cameras came out. We all met at one of the member's houses for production day. Our first couple of scenes were going to be shot at the park a short walk away from her house. When we were walking to the location and mapping out each scene we were about to shoot, we came to a realization. None of us really liked the original script we wrote. We felt it was choppy, too quick, and some scenes did not need to be filmed. This ended up changing many, many scenes and dialogue. The first three scenes were supposed to be Lucy and I stretching and talking. Which would've looked odd since I was not wearing workout clothes and didn't have any wardrobe change on hand. It was finally time to start filming our storyboard slides. We made all the preparations and were ready to go when our friend surprises us by suddenly starting a job. This threw our scheduled plans down the drain and we had to start planning from scratch. We sat in class and started to fill in March and April calendars. This would easily illustrate our filming days. Two of our members are in a band. Many of their performances and competitions have them booked during the times it would have been convenient for the rest of us. Although spring break seemed like the best option. We had another team member with vacation travel plans to El Salvador so the days we had left were Friday and Saturday.  We selected the day!   Sheet 1: On this sheet, the scenes at the park are shown. We have an establishing shot, different tracking shots, and insert shots to depict the scene of the park and the first sitting of the film. Throughout this sheet, viewers with being introduced to the protagonists of the film and the antagonist the mysterious stalker. Friend that hasn't seen each other are reunited at last but someone is prepared to ruin their fun. Sheet 2: On this sheet, after reconnecting, running, and catching up on their past they take a break at the playground of the park. Taking their water break at the swingset they can't help but feel exhausted. wanting to go home they have set their mind to go to lucy's house. The mysterious stalker here's this conversation and proceeds to follow them Sheet 3: The protagonist is walking to Lucy's house after a very long day. Location: We are planning to shoot the majority of the film in a woodsy and dark setting. Here we will have our establishing shot, and characters introduced. Allowing for our storyline to be understood by the audience and flow better. Later, the scenes will be shot in our main character's room. Here it will help wrap up the story and give the audience an ending they can understand.  Participants:  Three members of our group are going to be included in the film. Kai is going to be our director and filming. Willow is going to play the main character of the stalker. While Lucy will play the secondary character of the girl being stalked. Our last remaining member will focusing on needed background characters and editing.
